My dating game has gone down 500 points.
It’s against the rules to miss someone who doesn’t want you.
Because there are people out there who cannot become engulfed in me, because I’m ugly, I don’t talk enough, I’m too chill, I’m boring, I don’t think hard enough, because I’m not enough, I so deeply want someone to love me because I am beautiful, I select my words carefully, I feel my emotions on the inside-it takes time for them to unfold on the outside, because my mind wanders, and because my shortcomings make me human, and in touch-equal.
Because there are people out there who cannot become engulfed in you, who cannot love you, for whatever reasons their mind presents them, I so deeply want people to love you for who you are.
And for us to love us for who we are.
And also for who we cannot be.
